You’ll be helping us to create moments of connection among teams around the world. Our product is used by millions of people every year, yet we’re still a small, dynamic team.

If your mind is already whirring with creative solutions, then read on…
Key Outcomes- Reduce the time it takes to go from idea to development.
- Retention: are people coming back to our site, do people purchase a card after signing or receiving one? We want to build the best product possible.
- Growth: do your changes increase exposure, click through rate, conversion rate, order value, lifetime value, or referral rate? Usually these go hand in hand with a good user experience.
- Work with developers to ship updates and take charge of the delivery of features from start to finish.
- Develop features/products which improve the experience for all of our users and align with business goals.
- Understand and implement full user journey changes e.g. not just from a site perspective, but also things like emails flows that pair with the on-site experience.
- Monitor user feedback and reviews.
- Run and interpret AB test data as well as user tests.
- Lead a weekly call to walk us through the current design pipeline.
- Have a good understanding of UX - the visual design is important, but more important than anything are the goals of the user. The UX for an older demographic will be different to a younger demographic.
- Have a strong focus on the final experience.
- Be able to work with conceptual ideas and have a good intuition for how things should work from a loose brief.
- Strong organisation skills - you will be expected to manage your workload independently, and track tasks from start to finish.
- Ability to work iteratively and break down end products into steps and phases for developers to work on. Understanding of how a product is made and how to break something down.
- Thorough knowledge of Figma, HTML, CSS and how software is made.
- Ability to write good copy - clear, concise and optimised for conversion.
- Have extensive experience conducting AB tests and user tests.
- Good understanding of how product changes impact the commercials of the business.
- Should be comfortable working remotely and with a small team (we have a core team of 4 people).
- Be available for standup at 10AM (UK time) to update the team on progress.
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pro-rated for part-time hours.
- Competitive compensation.
- Fully remote environment.
- Your work will be used by millions of people worldwide.
- We’re a tiny team, so if you want to shape your role and make a significant contribution, Group Cards is the place for you.
- Opportunity to help shape the product and define the next stage of growth.
We’re a small team with three engineers, and we’ve found that good design usually moves faster than implementation. Going part-time helps keep things in sync. It gives enough space for ideas to develop properly while still moving at a good pace with the dev team. We’re ideally looking for someone who is able to do 20-30 hours per week. This setup suits someone who wants a bit more flexibility day-to-day, but still wants to make a real impact on a product that’s used by millions of people.
Application ProcessPlease send us your CV and attach any work you think we should see. Ideally submit your CV in PDF format as it makes it easier to view on LinkedIn. After reviewing all applications, the strongest candidates will be given an at-home design challenge. This exercise is representative of the kind of work we do and it helps us to understand how you approach new problems. Once we have reviewed the design tasks, you may be invited for an interview to discuss your approach to the task and get a deeper understanding of your background.
