The role
- Support processing operations by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work, and proactively correcting and modifying recurring machine processing faults.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize focus on the nominated production area.
- Fault‑find effectively and efficiently, utilizing machine historical documentation.
- Establish harmonious relations with operational staff and work flexibly with them.
- Pro‑actively reduce engineering downtime and continuously improve the process and the department.
- Carry out engineering project work.
- Other relevant duties as required from time to time.
Person Specification
- Relevant experience within an FMCG/food processing/manufacturing environment.
- Relevant experience in industrial and electrical engineering (multi‑skilled) with a stronger bias in electrical.
- Formal qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Boiler operating experience.
- Strong understanding of H&S.
- PLC fault‑finding/diagnostic skills.
- HACCP compliance knowledge.
- Electrical test and inspection trained.
