- Have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) or relevant hands-on experience
- Demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to student support
- Can assist with differentiated learning activities and support individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a calm demeanour in challenging situations
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and SENCOs to support student progress
