Job Description

We are working with one of the top bulge bracket investment banks, who are looking to add a trainee equity research associate to one of their London teams.

The firm has an outstanding reputation for providing their asset management client base with outstanding equity research.

The role will support senior coverage analysts with the writing of equity research and then presenting your ideas to your clients, who be asset managers and hedge funds.

The role will cover a really lovely sector (non financials)

Day to day the role will involve

Helping write equity research of companies

Dealing with company results. Writing an initial post-results comment and talking through the results with the sales desk.

Liaising with company management to keep abreast of any developments

Assisting the team with any ad-hoc work. This is most likely to involve client requests

Client and company meetings

Financial modelling, valuations, financial analysis

Candidate background:

Equity analysts with sell or buy side firms or other research professional

Investment banking analysts

Excellent communication skills

Strong academics

Genuine interest in financial markets and the global economy

Self motivated and be able to communicate/sell ideas

Able to demonstrate drive and commitment to pursuing career in equity research

The role is aimed at people with at least 1 years M&A or research experience
