A leading long/short hedge fund is now looking to recruit an Equity Research Associate into their team. The role will join a very successful team of fund managers and analysts who have a superb track record in investing. The role will work on the following:
- Active Identification of investment opportunities for the fund
- Identification of events which can trigger a gain or loss in value of a stock
- Recommending buy and sell side trades to the Portfolio Managers
- Carrying out detailed financial modelling and analysis of investment opportunities
- Monitoring existing positions
- Active member of the investment team
They are interested in people who will have a background as follows:
- Currently working as an equity research associate with a sell or buy side firm
- ACAs
- Private equity professionals
- Real interest in financial markets
This is quite a junior role on the team, and will probably be most suitable for professionals with a few years buy or sell side experience or a super bright chartered accountant who already has their own share portfolio.
