Credit Research Associate, CLOs / High Yield – Global FundWe are now working with a major global asset manager who are looking to recruit a Credit Research Associate into their London team.
You will be responsible for primary coverage of sector credits in the primary and secondary market, assisting portfolio managers with underwriting of investment opportunities and ongoing management of portfolio credits.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct fundamental credit analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, and underwriting of investment opportunities in both the primary deal pipeline and secondary market.
Monitor and report on performance of portfolio investments in designated industry sectors.
Maintain credit databases by entering financial data as needed on a quarterly and annual basis.
Build financial forecast models, including forecasting revenue and EBITDA, and leverage; analysts are expected to generate multiple forecast scenarios.
Complete ad‐hoc reporting and investment analysis.
Engage with corporate management in‐person and participate in quarterly and annual calls with obligors.
Assist with development of portfolio and sector strategy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 3 years (up to 5 years) of experience with leveraged finance in an asset management or investment banking setting and/or relevant academic credentials.
Strong analytical ability (quantitative and logical reasoning).
Prior financial modeling experience.
Working understanding of Bloomberg and its capabilities.
Strong communication skills – written and oral.
Mature and focused work ethic.
Experience or knowledge of structured credit products, such as CLOs, is a plus but not mandatory.
Right to work in the UK without sponsoring.
