This is the perfect opportunity to be part of a diverse team providing assessment, diagnostics, diagnosis, treatment, advice, and referrals. We are seeking a permanent part-time UTC ECP. This person will be considered a key person in day-to-day clinical leadership and expertise within the department. You will be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a clinician in a diverse, multi-skilled team that includes GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Physician Associates, Paediatric ANPs, Emergency Practitioners and Live Well Coaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • On each shift, you will provide expert advice and second opinions for patients seen and treated by junior members of staff, and take responsibility for the patients assigned through the streaming process.
  • Perform assessment of patients’ needs, plan, implement and evaluate clinical treatment and care using advanced clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Assess diagnostics including ECGs, bloods, urinalysis, and X-rays.
  • Discuss with patients and carers the range of possible treatment/management options and their implications before treatment decisions are made.
  • Instigate and implement clinical management and treatment changes when appropriate.
  • Contribute to specific care guidelines and standards supporting the care of patients across the health economy.
  • Implement Health and Safety and Risk Management appropriate to area of work.
  • Deliver aspects of the Clinical Governance Agenda, following the direction of the Clinical Leadership.
  • Contribute to and manage various elements of auditing in the UTC.
  • Have overall responsibility for other members of the clinical team within the UTC.
