Key responsibilities include:
- Working as a shift leader and coordinating a diverse, multi‑skilled team of GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Physician Associates, Paediatric ANPs, Emergency Practitioners and Live Well Coaches.
- Monitoring and managing the UTC patient case list.
- Delegating tasks to staff on shift to provide safe and efficient care.
- Performing streaming efficiently, assigning patients to the correct department and priority level.
- Providing a safe ED/UTC front door for patients and staff.
- Conducting diagnostics including ECGs, blood tests and urinalysis.
- Providing reassurance to patients, families and carers.
- Following diagnostic and referral pathways.
- Communicating effectively with inter‑professional teams for patient referrals.
- Contributing to care guidelines and standards supporting patients across the health economy.
