A large business based in Tamworth is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a 6 month fixed term contract. This role can either be full time or part time, 3 days per week. The business will offer hybrid working, 1-2 days working from home once full training has been provided and you've found your feet within the role.

Job Purpose

To maintain accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, ensuring the purchase ledger is up to date and aligned with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process supplier invoices.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes (3-way matching).
  • Resolve discrepancies with suppliers or internal departments.
  • Ensure invoices are correctly coded and authorised.
  • Perform regular purchase ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures.
