On an exclusive basis, Greenwell Gleeson are recruiting for a Head of Finance to work with a growing business based in Tenbury Wells. There will also be some ad hoc travel to different sites in the UK/Ireland and Europe. Reporting into the Group FD, duties of the role will include:
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of office.
- Lead the finance department, overseeing financial operations, accounting processes, payroll and the finance team.
- Manage and produce all group financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and year-end financial reports.
- Lead the financial audit with external auditors and produce financial statements ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and control the company's annual budget.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, develop a reliable cash flow projection process, and reporting mechanism.
- Establish and develop relations with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Analyse and manage risk, including credit, market, liquidity and operational risks.
- Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, offering insights and financial advice that will allow the company to make informed business decisions.
- Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- This role could suit someone already in industry with a classic accounting background with one of the 'Top 10' accounting firms.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior role, ideally within a fast-paced or complex business environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong ability to implement and monitor internal controls.
- Creative reporting capability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, BI or ERP Systems.
