On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Head of Finance to work with a growing business based in Tenbury Wells. Reporting into the Group FD, duties of the role will include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day Administration of office.
  • Lead the finance department, overseeing financial operations, accounting processes, payroll and the finance team.
  • Manage and produce all group financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and year-end financial reports.
  • Lead the Financial audit with external auditors and produce financial statements ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and control the company's annual budget.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting, develop a reliable cash flow projection process, and reporting mechanism.
  • Establish and develop relations with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyse and manage risk, including credit, market, liquidity and operational risks.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, offering insights and financial advice that will allow the company to make informed business decisions.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.

Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • This role could suit someone already in industry with a classic accounting background with one of the 'Top 10' accounting firms.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior role, ideally within a fast-paced or complex business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to implement and monitor internal controls.
  • Creative reporting capability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Advance proficiency in excel, BI or ERP Systems.
