Job Description

Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Controller to work with a healthcare business based in Shrewsbury.Duties of the role will include:Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and reporting to ensure effective financial control and visibility.Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, systems, and processes, including the maintenance of robust internal controls and adherence to best practices.Provide strategic financial insights and commercial analysis to support informed decision making, drive business performance and influence strategic direction.Prepare and present monthly management accounts, board reports, and year-end statutory financial statements, liaising with external auditors as required.Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities, ensuring the business meets its financial obligations and supports future investment.Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies, acting as the lead contact for HMRC and other regulatory bodies.Lead, supervise, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Support funding, investment, and commercial decision-making, including business case evaluation, pricing analysis and scenario planning.Implement and improve financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, reporting and scalability.Act as a trusted business partner to the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability.Skills, Requirements, QualificationsQualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMAProven track record of managing financial operations, budgets, and reporting.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.Proven track record in management and supervision of staff, with the ability to inspire and guide the team towards achieving collative goals.Proficiency in financial software and systems.Greenwell Gleeson Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.To find out more about how and why Greenwell Gleeson Ltd process your personal data in line with the data protection regime please go to the privacy notice on our website www.greenwellgleeson.co.uk
