Greenway Search are exclusively working with a highly regarded and well-established private practice based in Sussex who are seeking to hire an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client Department. This is a pivotal role within the team, offering the successful candidate an immediately available, high-quality caseload generated by a strong and consistent referral pipeline, alongside the opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future growth and direction of the department. The firm is open to flexible and hybrid working arrangements and is keen to attract a solicitor who is confident operating with autonomy, demonstrates strong technical ability and takes a proactive, client-focused approach to their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a broad and varied private client caseload, including:
- Drafting wills and advising on succession and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration matters
- Trust creation, administration and advisory work
- Inheritance tax and wider estate planning advice
- Preparation and registration of lasting powers of attorney
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in private client matters
- Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently from initial instruction through to completion
- Strong technical knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrable commitment to exceptional client service
- Commercially minded with an interest in contributing to departmental and firm-wide growth
