A leading US law firm is seeking a Fund Finance Associate (4+ PQE) to join its premier finance practice. The firm’s fund finance capabilities combine deep expertise across Finance, Private Investment Funds, and Private Credit, enabling the team to advise on the full spectrum of investment management transactions. With offices in major financial centres across the US, Europe, and South America, the firm is strategically positioned to execute transactions on a truly global scale.
The Practice
The fund finance practice supports a global funds client base, advising over 500 general partners with strategies spanning private equity, credit, venture capital, real assets, infrastructure, and fund-of-funds. The team is recognised for its ability to deliver innovative and bespoke financing solutions for the world’s most sophisticated investment managers and financial institutions.
Notably, the firm is one of a select few with the experience and resources to structure complex, first-of-their-kind transactions, including:
- Warehouse facilities for middle-market lending joint ventures
- NAV facilities backed by non-traditional assets such as life insurance portfolios
- Hybrid facilities and leveraged secondary transactions
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise lenders, sponsors, and fund managers on the structuring and execution of fund finance transactions, including subscription line, NAV, and hybrid facilities.
- Draft and negotiate financing and security documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Work closely with the wider funds and private credit groups to deliver integrated, commercial advice across investment management structures.
- Contribute to client relationship development, thought leadership, and innovation initiatives within the fund finance practice.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent common law jurisdiction) with 4+ years’ PQE in banking and finance, ideally with demonstrable fund finance experience.
- Background from a leading international or US firm with exposure to complex cross-border finance transactions.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, credit facilities, and LMA-style documentation.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with a proactive and commercial approach.
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing global environment.
