Greenvolt Next is committed to the Distributed Energy Generation, as this is one of the main axes of energy transition and key to reduce the costs of energy bills. We have partnerships across Europe relying on local knowledge and market expertise. You will lead the operations side of delivering large-scale solar projects—from early conception, through pre-construction, construction, commissioning to handover (PAC / FAC). You’ll manage all project managers, ensure that designs are turned into reality on site, and that project reporting and execution meet contract requirements. You will oversee planning, risk, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and delivery, ensuring each project is set up to succeed and handed over properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of utility scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) solar projects
- Conception / Feasibility
- Pre-construction (planning applications, design, procurement, stakeholder engagement)
- Construction (site works, contractors / subcontractors, civil, electrical works, installation)
- Commissioning and handover (PAC / FAC etc.)
- Line-manage all Project Managers: define roles, set targets, monitor performance, ensure deliverables are met.
- Coordinate with the Contracts Manager: ensure contract terms are understood, risks allocated appropriately, changes managed.
- Ensure that designs are delivered on site as per specifications, and deviations are managed.
- Ensure reporting is carried out per contracts (progress, costs, technical, safety, quality) and that should cover internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop realistic project plans, schedules, budget forecasts; ensure resources are in place.
- Risk management: identify risks early, implement mitigation, ensure compliance (health & safety, regulatory, environmental).
- Quality assurance / quality control: ensure workmanship, materials, testing are as required.
- Drive continuous improvement: find efficiencies, standardise best practice across projects.
- Ensure successful commissioning and handover (both PAC / FAC), including snagging, commissioning tests, documentation, performance guarantees, handover packs etc.
Technical Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Construction Management
- Project Management Certification such as: APM, Prince 1, PMP
- CDM Knowledge essential.
