As a Land Acquisition Specialist in the renewable energy sector, you will support the team in identifying, scouting, and assessing suitable locations for utility-scale projects at Greenvolt Power UK. You will assist in the process of securing land agreements, working closely with landowners, local partners, and internal teams. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in land acquisition activities and contribute to the early-stage development of renewable energy projects, in line with the company’s growth strategy.
Key accountabilities:
- Identification of plots of land and open spaces suitable for the development and construction of utility scale Wind, BESS and Solar power plants.
- Identification of suitable properties within a target area.
- Work closely with different stakeholders (Landlords, Mayors, Municipalities).
- Registration of existing infrastructure regarding access and connection to the existing power grid.
- Documentation of the target areas with photos, GPS coordinates and predefined checklists.
- Identification of the landowners and contacting them on site.
- Lead negotiations securing suitable areas by concluding lease agreements or reservation agreements with the owner.
- Post-processing of the areas including preliminary checks, e.g. water protection, monument protection and nature conservation.
- Work with internal cross functional teams including engineering, legal, business development, GIS analysis and project development.
- Generate a pipeline of land opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Developing and applying necessary systems that ensure the companies comply with all applicable legal and statutory requirements; as well as implementing of all the Group internal procedures, policies and practices.
- International matters: providing support to the rest of the organization on the ongoing renewable energy matters, procurement, coordination, etc.
Qualifications:
- Background in Renewable Energy and Land Acquisition is required.
- Reference to agriculture desirable.
- Technical understanding in renewable sector.
- At least 1-3 years of practical experience in a land acquisition and land management-related work environment and land-scouting processes in the UK market in any other area (agriculture).
- Knowledge of human nature, confident demeanor and negotiation skills.
- Experience of permitting procedures and requirements is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the official geodata landscape.
- Proficient and confident with Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook), Google Earth, GIS.
- Fluent spoken and written communication in UK.
- Intermediate level of written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
- Class B driver’s license.
