Reporting to the Agriculture Director, your role will include leading Greenvale Holdings' Health, Safety and Environment strategy, ensuring it is implemented effectively across all sites. Driving continuous improvement, consistent standards and visible leadership in HS&E performance. Supporting clear ownership of HS&E responsibilities at all levels of the organisation. Using HS&E KPI to identify trends, determine root causes and agree effective corrective actions. Support the Board in maintaining a strong, proactive safety culture across the business and operational sites.
This role expands to supporting the wider Greenvale Holdings businesses, which is part of Produce Investments Ltd.
Reporting to: Agriculture Director
Main responsibilities
- Implementing the HS&E strategy and annual plan successfully
- Providing expert guidance on legislation, risk management and best practice
- Maintaining the HS&E Management System, ensuring policies and procedures comply with legislation, policy and best practice
- Delivering the annual audit plan, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions
- Leading environmental compliance with the Sustainability Team
- Ensuring HS&E meetings are held, with key KPI data communicated timely
- Supporting relevant CAPEX projects
Our ideal candidate will have the following
- NEBOSH Diploma & other relevant H&S qualifications/accreditations
- Experience within a similar role with leadership practice, ideally in FMCG
- Excellent communication skills working with all levels of a business
- Commitment towards continuous improvement and flexibility
- IT literate
- Working knowledge of fire risk assessments, working at height and asbestos
- Influence and persuading skills
- Experience in workplace transport, machinery & contractor management
- Full UK Driving License required
