Responsibilities
- Maintain contact with the customer before a treatment is carried out to inform them when you will be attending (call ahead).
- Visit designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide.
- Inform the customer before any work commences that you are there; if the customer is not available, continue with the treatment.
- At the conclusion of each job, notify the customer that the treatment has been completed and provide the invoice explaining the work carried out.
- Inform the customer of the next treatment date.
- Identify any lawn issues and offer necessary advice on lawn and mowing practice and additional treatments that may be required.
- Carry out essential spring/autumn machine work such as using aerators, scarifiers and lawn top‑dressers with professional lawn‑care machinery.
- Aeration and scarification is the reduction of moss, thatch and soil compaction to be carried out safely and professionally.
- Use of regular garden tools such as rakes, leaf sweepers and brooms to clear scarification waste.
- Work in a team or alone on machine work that can be physically demanding; good general fitness is required.
- Maintain standards of all health and safety practices as supplied by Green Thumb Limited.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of the company vehicle and ensure all servicing is completed.
- Ensure a professional and smart appearance at all times.
- Carry out any necessary simple service calls as they arise.
- Carry out lawn analysis and quotations as required.
- Support business growth by speaking to potential customers and providing point‑of‑sale material as requested.
- Maintain and update stock reports when required.
- Deliver a high level of professional customer service across the treatment area.
- Build relationships with customers, offering expert advice on products and services.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.

Salary and Hours
- Starting salary: £26,645.00 + £2,000 OTE. Annual salary reviews. Annual holiday allowance increase, up to 26 days + bank holidays.
- Hours of work: 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities.
