Responsibilities
- Maintain contact with customers before a treatment by calling ahead to inform them of the appointment.
- Visit designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide, informing them of your arrival when possible; if the customer is not available, continue with the treatment.
- At the conclusion of the work, notify the customer that the treatment has been completed and provide an invoice explaining the work carried out.
- Inform the customer of the next treatment date.
- Identify lawn issues and offer advice on lawn and mowing practices as well as any additional treatments that may be required.
- Carry out essential spring and autumn machine work such as aeration, scarification and lawn top‑dressings using professional lawn‑care machinery.
- Perform aeration and scarification to reduce moss, thatch, and soil compaction safely and professionally; clear waste with rakes, leaf sweepers and brooms.
- Work in a team or independently on machine work that can be physically demanding—good general fitness required.
- Maintain all health and safety standards as supplied by Green Thumb Limited.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and ensure all servicing is completed.
- Maintain a professional and smart appearance at all times.
- Handle simple service calls as they arise.
- Carry out lawn analysis and quotations as required.
- Support business growth by speaking to potential customers and delivering point‑of‑sale material as requested.
- Maintain and update stock reports when required.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Passion for lawn care.
- Ability to work independently, outdoors, and stay physically active.

- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience in related roles such as Maintenance Worker, Grounds Worker, Gardener, Lawn Care, or Lawn Technician is an asset.
Compensation and Working Conditions
- Starting salary: £27,248.00 + £2,000.00 OTE.
- Annual salary reviews.
- Annual holiday allowance increase, up to 26 days + Bank Holidays.
- Hours of work: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (with overtime opportunities).
