Responsibilities
- Maintain contact with customers before treatments to inform them about visit dates.
- Visit customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide.
- Inform customers before work commences; continue if the customer is not available.
- Notify customers upon completion, provide an invoice and explain the work carried out.
- Inform customers of the next treatment date.
- Identify lawn issues and offer advice on lawn and mowing practice and additional treatments as needed.
- Carry out essential spring/autumn machine work using aerators, scarifiers and lawn top‑dressers.
- Perform aeration and scarification to reduce moss, thatch and soil compaction safely using manual and garden tools.
- Work independently or in a team on physically demanding machine work requiring general fitness.
- Maintain health and safety standards as supplied by Green Thumb Limited.
- Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle and ensure servicing is completed.
- Maintain a professional, smart appearance at all times.
- Carry out necessary simple service calls as they arise.
- Perform lawn analysis and provide quotations as required.
- Support business growth by speaking to potential customers and providing point‑of‑sale material.
- Maintain and update stock reports when required.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
