Responsibilities

  • Maintaining contact with customers before treatments, advising on timing, and ensuring they are present.
  • Visiting designated customers daily to apply fertiliser and herbicide.
  • Informing customers before work starts; continue if customer absent.
  • Concluding treatments by notifying customers and providing invoices outlining work.
  • Communicating next treatment date and identifying lawn issues, offering advice on mowing and additional treatments.
  • Performing seasonal machine work (aerator, scarifier, top-dresser) and using professional machinery and garden tools to clear waste.
  • Working effectively alone or in a team; physically demanding; requires good fitness.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards as supplied by Green Thumb Limited.
  • Keeping company vehicle clean, maintaining servicing schedule, and maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Executing simple service calls and carrying out lawn analysis and quotations.
  • Supporting business growth by pitching to potential customers and distributing point-of-sale materials.
  • Maintaining and updating stock reports as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Passion for lawn care.
  • Ability to work independently, outdoors and keep active.
  • Strong organisational and time-keeping skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Experience in any of the following roles is beneficial: Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Assistant, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Facilities Grounds Worker, Health & Safety, Estates Management, Facilities Management, Gardener, Postal Services, Delivery Drivers, Labourer, Lawn Care, Landscaping, Lawn Technician, Customer Services, Sales.

Salary & Hours

  • Starting salary: £27,831.00 + £2,000 OTE.
  • Annual salary reviews.
  • Annual holiday allowance: up to 22 days + bank holidays.
  • Hours of work: 8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (with overtime opportunities).
  • Location: Guildford.
