Panda is a leading waste management solutions provider based in Quarrington (NG34 8RT). We specialise in sustainable resource recovery and circular economy practices. We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team and play a vital role in our environmental services operations.
Operating Hours
Operating from our Quarrington depot, you will safely collect and transport commercial waste using our modern fleet. Enjoy consistent Monday–Friday shifts with all breaks paid and opportunities for occasional Saturday overtime.
- AM Shift: Starts at 4:00 am
- PM Shift: Starts at 2:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles (RCVs) for waste collections.
- Collections: Facilitate the collection of wheeled bin containers.
- Route Planning: Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
- Compliance: Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects (DVSA compliant).
- Safety: Adhere to waste duty of care regulations and strict health and safety standards.
Essential Requirements
- Licencing: Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence + current Driver CPC.
- Compliance: Digital tachograph card.
- Experience: Previous experience in waste sector operations is preferred.
- Fitness: Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

- Competitive Hourly Pay
- AM Shift: £15.92/hour
- PM Shift: £19.98/hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours.
- Performance Bonuses
- Single‑man crew: 8p per bin
- Double‑man crew: 4p per bin
- Additional tiered bonuses available (10, 14, 18).
- Work‑Life Balance: Fixed shifts with occasional Saturday overtime options.
