About the Role

You are a professional HGV Class 1 Driver looking to join our Widnes-based team. We specialise in efficient and sustainable waste management solutions that support the circular economy.

The Role

Operating out of our Widnes depot, you will play a vital role in our waste transport operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Class 1 vehicles, ensuring the seamless movement of waste materials while upholding our commitment to environmental best practices.

Working Hours

  • Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, with additional shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles and Artic Moving Floor trailers.
  • Route Planning: Follow efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
  • Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate digital logs and ensure full compliance with drivers’ hours and the Working Time Directive.
  • Service: Provide excellent customer service at all collection and delivery points.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence with current Driver CPC.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven Class 1 driving experience.
  • Experience with Moving Floor/Walking Floor trailers is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, independent work ethic.
