Fixed Plant Fitter

At Panda, we are looking for a Fixed Plant Fitter to help keep our waste management facility running safely and efficiently.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery and equipment.
  • Inspecting, servicing and repairing machinery such as conveyors, shredders and associated plant systems.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, replacements or adjustments to minimise downtime.
  • Supporting preventative maintenance activity to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns.
  • Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used and maintenance activity.
  • Working closely with the wider maintenance, engineering and operations teams to resolve issues.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve plant performance, safety and efficiency.
  • Supporting a clean, safe and compliant working environment.

About You

  • Experience working in plant maintenance, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a similar hands‑on role.
  • Knowledge of fixed plant machinery, conveyor systems, shredders or industrial equipment would be beneficial.
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
  • A practical, hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance, mechanical engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
