GreenSquareAccord is one of the biggest social housing and care providers in England, providing care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in society. This includes older people's residential care, specialist dementia care, mental health nursing, and supported housing for people with learning disabilities, with over 25 years' experience in over 100 care schemes, providing three million hours of care each year.
About The Service
As a Dementia Centre of Excellence, Bowbrook is designed specifically to meet the needs of people living with dementia. The centre provides 90 individual living spaces which consist of six households, each with a communal kitchen, dining area, lounge, cinema room, and access to gardens and outdoor space, including a rooftop terrace. We also have a community hub on site offering a coffee bar, shop, hairdresser, events rooms, garden with children's play area, and much more.
In Your New Role, You Will:
- Build relationships with residents that are open and two-way.
- Support residents to undertake their daily routines.
- Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers when necessary.
- Accurately report and/or record work activities.
- Support with activities of daily living & personal care.
- Assist residents with mealtimes where necessary.
You Will Ideally Have:
- Experience working within a care environment.
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- A warm-hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness, and good communication skills.
- An open and honest character, respectful and celebrating diversity.
- The ability to be a natural caregiver and communicate openly and honestly with colleagues, residents, and their visitors.
