About the role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Governance Officer to support and contribute to GreenSquareAccord's Governance Team in the delivery of the Group's governance and company secretarial functions, supporting the effective operation of our Boards and Committees.
You will ensure the timely collation of Board and Committee papers and co-ordinate their circulation, checking for completeness and quality assurance in terms of content and format, and dispatch in accordance with agreed deadlines.
You will be required to attend Committee meetings either in person or remotely to take, produce and issue minutes in accordance with the team service standards; and support the meetings as required by arranging refreshments, preparing meeting rooms in advance of meetings and organising travel and accommodation.
Within the role you will also assist in maintaining any regulatory/statutory registers as required, the Code of Conduct and best practice. This includes registers relating to declarations of interest, gifts and hospitality and the provision of employment and housing to employees, board and committee members and connected people. This will also include maintaining records relating to Board and Committee members.
You will also be required to support various Governance processes including Signing and Sealing, maintaining the Declaration of Interest register, organising inductions, appraisals and training schedules for Board and Committee members, processing expenses and invoices and overseeing various inboxes responding to ad-hoc governance enquiries.

About you
Within the role, it is essential that you have the ability to support governance-related policies and procedures and ensure the timely delivery of agendas, papers and minutes.
You must have the ability to organise yourself, prioritise your workload and manage your job role to meet personal objectives, targets and deadlines. You must be able to work under pressure and as part of a team, comfortable with multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
You will need to demonstrate developed communication skills at all levels. Proven experience of servicing in a governance environment would be beneficial for this role.
Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role. Without this evidence, you would be unable to commence employment at GreenSquareAccord.
