Property and Compliance Coordinator (Hybrid - 1 day per week in Birmingham office)
Do you enjoy turning “paperwork” into real-life safety and quality? Are you the person colleagues trust to keep systems running, evidence organised, and compliance on track? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
As a Property and Compliance Coordinator, you’ll help make sure the homes, facilities and services we support are safe, well maintained and compliant. You’ll coordinate property-related activity, track documentation, support audits, and work closely with teams across the business to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
This role is ideal for someone who’s methodical, organised and confident communicating with different stakeholders—while also bringing a pragmatic, people-first mindset to every task. You’ll be at the centre of creating clarity: what’s due, when it’s due, who owns it, and how we can evidence it.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate compliance activities across property and health & safety areas, ensuring required checks, inspections and certifications are tracked and completed to schedule.
- Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation, including certificates, risk assessments, action logs and compliance reports.
- Support internal and external audits by collating evidence, chasing outstanding items and helping teams respond to findings.
- Manage actions and follow-ups to ensure remedial work is logged, progress is monitored, and outcomes are recorded.
- Liaise with colleagues and contractors to coordinate property work, inspections and documentation requirements.
- Track compliance schedules and keep systems up to date, highlighting upcoming deadlines and potential risk areas early.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying gaps in processes and helping strengthen coordination, templates, and workflows.
- Provide administrative support to property and compliance processes, ensuring information is clear, consistent and secure.
What we’re looking for
- Strong administration and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A good understanding of compliance and property-related requirements (or a willingness to learn quickly and apply it confidently).
- Experience of working with audit-ready records, or maintaining structured documentation systems.
- Excellent attention to detail—because in compliance, small errors can have big consequences.
- Strong communication skills, including confidence in chasing updates and explaining requirements clearly.
- Proficiency with IT systems (e.g., spreadsheets, databases or document management tools) and the ability to produce accurate reports.
- A confident, professional approach and a calm, solutions-focused mindset when things get busy.
Why this role matters
Great homes don’t happen by accident. They require steady planning, consistent follow-through, and people who take responsibility for safety and quality. You’ll play a key part in ensuring colleagues can focus on supporting residents with confidence—knowing that the property and compliance foundations are in place.
Our culture: people at the heart of everything
Everything we do is about people—whether that’s providing a safe, good quality home, or supporting care that helps someone live an independent life. Colleagues here live and breathe this social purpose, and we need someone like you to bring energy, structure and reliability to the compliance side of that mission.
