Responsibilities

  • Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice
  • Assist with preparing residents for bed and/or assist them in the morning
  • Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bathe and use the toilet
  • Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment
  • Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence
  • Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility

Qualifications and Requirements

  • An understanding of the needs of residents
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience of providing care (Desirable)
  • Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
