Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a warm, caring environment geared to meeting individual needs and providing the opportunity for maximum independence, with respect for privacy, freedom of choice, and personal expression.
- Maintain all legal and statutory records, displayed records concerning the home; insurance certificates, registrations.
- Take responsibility for investigating complaints, compile reports and take appropriate action.
- Liaise and co-operate with CQC inspectors and inspections, maintaining regulatory compliance in all areas.
- Ensure that all records required by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and subsequent legislation are maintained accurately and up to date, available for inspection by the Inspection Officer or Greensleeves Homes Trust representatives.
- Oversee staffing requirements and be responsible for recruitment of suitable employees for the home.
- Ensure effective inductions and that training needs for all team members are identified and met.
- Carry out regular supervisions, assessments, lead team meetings, ensuring the Care Home is a friendly and supportive caring environment.
Qualifications
- Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g., RMA)
- Experience as a Registered Manager
- Experience of managing a Care/Nursing Home for older people
- Experience of working with budgets and business plans
- Appropriate levels of skill in Maths
