About Buckler's Lodge

Buckler's Lodge is a modern residential and dementia care home in a stunning purpose-built home surrounded by nature in Crowthorne, near Wokingham. It is a vibrant and welcoming 24/7 community of care where residents and their families enjoy award-winning residential and dementia care. Residents are cared for with a well-established methodology that is centred on keeping them as independent as possible for as long as possible.

As a Care Assistant (Days) You will:

  • Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
  • Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
  • Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
  • Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care - Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

  • An understanding of the needs of residents (Essential)
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality (Essential)
  • Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience of providing care (Desirable)
  • Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
