About Buckler's Lodge

Located in Crowthorne near Bracknell, Buckler’s Lodge offers modern, spacious accommodation on two acres surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire countryside. Our welcoming community provides comfort, companionship, and 24/7 award-winning residential and dementia care.

As an Assistant Cook (Bank), you will:

  • Ensure that seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables are used whenever possible.
  • Cater for special occasions within the home.
  • Prepare, cook and serve meals.
  • Clear and wash up after meal preparation.
  • Ensure that the kitchen hygiene and safety rules are observed.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is cleaned after use, and at the end of each shift, leave the kitchen in a clean and hygienic state.

  • Experience of working in a kitchen environment (Essential)
  • Experience of serving food in a professional environment (Essential)
  • Relevant food hygiene and food preparation qualifications (Essential)
  • An understanding of the importance of food for residents, including a balanced and varied diet (Essential)
  • Strong communication skills (Essential)
  • Experience of running and controlling a kitchen (Desirable)
