About Borovere Care Home

Borovere is a long-established care home in the area, recognised for delivering residential, respite, and dementia care. Situated on the outskirts of Alton and surrounded by neighbouring homes, Borovere occupies its own attractive grounds. The home offers spacious, fully furnished bedrooms, each with access to either an en-suite bathroom or a contemporary wet room. Residents are encouraged to personalise their spaces with treasured items, photographs, ornaments, or small pieces of furniture, to promote comfort, familiarity, and positive wellbeing.

As a Laundry Assistant, you will:

  • Manage the laundry procedures and required throughput of laundry, thereby preventing unnecessary build up.
  • Ensure that laundry is identified for appropriate loads.
  • Ensure a regular supply of detergent.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the daily defluffing of the dryer, reporting any defects to the senior member of staff on duty.

Requirements

  • An understanding of the importance of high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in care homes.
  • Willing to attend all mandatory training.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • High standards and pride in your work.
