Mount Ephraim House, a welcoming residential care home, is seeking an exceptional Home Manager to lead and inspire our dedicated team. Mount Ephraim House is Tunbridge Wells’ number 1 non-profit care home. Recently renovated, the home offers exceptional residential, dementia, and short-term respite care in a stunning and welcoming setting. Located in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, our historic home provides modern, comfortable spaces with a dedicated and compassionate team. As a Home Manager, you will:
- Develop and maintain a warm, caring environment geared to meeting individual needs and providing the opportunity for maximum independence, having regard to the rights of individuals to privacy, freedom of choice, and opportunity for personal expression.
- Maintain all legal and statutory records, displayed records concerning the home, insurance certificates, and registration.
- Take responsibility for investigating any complaints, compiling reports and taking any appropriate action if required.
- Liaise and co-operate with CQC inspectors and inspections, and maintain regulatory compliance in all areas.
- Ensure that all records required to be kept in the home by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and any subsequent relevant legislation are maintained accurately and are up to date.
- Oversee all staffing requirements and be responsible for the recruitment of suitable employees for the team working in the home.
- Ensure effective inductions and that the training needs for all the team are identified and met.
- Carry out regular supervisions, assessments, and lead team meetings, ensuring the Care Home is a friendly and supportive caring environment.
To apply, you will need:
- Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent e.g. RMA
- Experience as a Registered Manager
- Experience in managing a Care/Nursing Home for older people
- Experience in working with budgets and business plans.
- Appropriate levels of skill in Maths & English
