We are looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer based at our Hemel or Farnham depot. The role will be responsible for providing support to our range of machinery at the respective depot with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment.
- Keep machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.
- Complete jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards.
- Supervise other Workshop Engineers, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained.
Key skills we are looking for:
- NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering OR 3 years of relevant experience within Plant/Land based mechanics.
- Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant JCB machines.
- Investigate & diagnose technical problems.
- Interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness.
- Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision.
