We are looking for a Sales Associate within our Broadcrown Power Engineering division. The Sales Associate will support the Broadcrown Power Engineering team by contacting customers, gathering equipment information, and helping to identify opportunities for maintenance contracts, upgrades, and engineering services. They will also assist the Broadcrown Power Engineering aftermarket function, including supporting the promotion of parts sales. This is an entry-level role suited to someone enthusiastic, confident on the phone, eager to learn, and willing to build technical knowledge over time. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Contact existing and potential customers to collect basic equipment and site information.
- Build rapport with customers through clear, friendly, and professional communication.
- Qualify leads at a basic level (customer interest, equipment type, timelines).
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and assist in keeping the sales pipeline up to date.
- Develop a foundational understanding of power engineering systems and equipment.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to learn how to capture the right technical information.
- Support the wider sales team in preparing quotes, proposals, and customer information packs.
- Work with the Divisional Director and senior sales staff to meet team targets and objectives.
- Accurately update CRM systems with customer and equipment details.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Confident communicator with a positive phone manner.
- Eagerness to learn technical details and develop engineering product knowledge.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Good organisational skills and accuracy in administration.
- Basic understanding of sales principles (training provided).
- Self-motivation and a drive to achieve results with support from the team.
- Ability to build relationships with customers over time.
- Experience with CRM beneficial but not required.
