Are you passionate about education and committed to delivering an outstanding service? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Regional Admissions Officer to support our schools across the South West Region. This role is based in Gloucester with the opportunity for hybrid working.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be the trusted expert on all aspects of school admissions and appeals—guiding schools, parents/carers and colleagues through complex processes with confidence, accuracy and empathy. You’ll oversee in-year and point-of-entry applications, manage sensitive cases, analyse admissions data, and ensure full compliance with the School Admissions Code and Trust policies. You’ll also play a visible role in our community, representing the admissions team at school open events and supporting continuous improvement across our admissions service.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience of school admissions within a primary or secondary setting
- A strong knowledge and understanding of the legal framework surrounding school admissions and school admission appeals
- The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, adapting messages appropriately.
- Outstanding organisational skills to support the efficient delivery of responsibilities
- Proactivity and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, using initiative and working independently
About our Admissions Team: The Shared Service Admissions Team provides expert support on all matters related to school admissions, admissions appeals and admission arrangements. We work closely with schools, parents/carers and local authorities to ensure a smooth and transparent admissions process.
