Contracts Manager, Landscaping Salary £45,000 to £50,000 + Car or Allowance Worcester Office & Site Based Full Time & Permanent You will be part of a successful team in this industry leading landscape contractor, and as Contracts Manager you have a central role in the ongoing success of the organisation and the creation of hard and soft landscaping schemes that enhance commercial developments and new build housing schemes. The Job: You will manage 2 Contracts Supervisors and up to 6 sites each with a Site Foreman. Your workload will be approximately 70% hard landscaping and civils works and 30% soft landscaping. The hard works will include building and extending static and mobile caravan parks, earthworks, large scale landscaping projects, sports turf and environmental mitigation works. The soft landscaping sites will be approximately half new build housing sites and half high end private residential and retirement homes. Your time will be split between the office in rural Worcester and the sites that are under your management. You will use your professional and proactive approach to maintain an in-depth knowledge of all the pending and active projects, ensuring that they are managed efficiently through effective communication with your Contract Supervisors. * Management of large-scale landscaping projects. * Liaison with clients, supervision of assigned personnel and contractors. * Ensuring compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards. * Ensuring projects are delivered to clients’ expectations and on budget – monitoring and managing cost control effectively. * Effectively recruiting the right people within your division including direct labour and subcontractors. * Procurement of materials and any subcontracted works within budget. * Assisting with business development and supporting our Estimating team where required. * Championing of and ensuring compliance with site-specific policies and procedures * Ensuring that sites are managed in a clean, safe and tidy manner * Checking timesheets and attendance and reporting variations * Assisting in the preparation of tender documentation; cost analyses; early-stage budgets; detailed cost plans; bills of quantities and procurement plans The Person: You will currently be a Landscaping Contracts Manager with several years’ experience successfully delivering high quality projects. * Experience of Construction (Design & Management) * Professional and proactive in your approach, with excellent Influencing and communication skills * Commercial acumen including accurate cost control, efficient procurement, production of timely valuations, pricing of variations and compensation events. * You will be effective in managing the expectations of site agents and resolving disputes * Good contractual awareness including experience of managing works in accordance with mainly JCT contracts but also NEC4 & JCLI forms of contract. * Understand Health and Safety compliance / ISOH Regulations * Good computer skills across all Microsoft programmes. * CSCS Card and ideally SMSTS / SSSTS * Full clean UK driving licence
