At GreensafeIT, we are an IT recycler and supplier of IT services, having overseen more than 3 million devices throughout the IT lifecycle. We provide a comprehensive range of IT lifecycle services including IT spares and nationwide logistics, datacentre and office relocations, device configuration and builds, bonded stock solutions, on-site engineering support, project management services.
We’re looking for a vigilant and professional Security Operative to help protect our people, premises and assets. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the site, monitoring visitor activity, responding confidently to incidents and ensuring security procedures are consistently followed. This is a 3-month fixed term contract initially, with opportunity for review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarms, and promptly respond to suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Verify the identity of employees, contractors and visitors, issue passes as necessary, and control entry and exit points.
- Ensure only authorised personnel access restricted areas and perform security checks to prevent contraband or unauthorised items from entering secure areas.
- Respond to security incidents, alarms and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Handle and defuse potential conflict situations calmly and professionally.
- Document and report all incidents, irregularities and hazards to the Security Manager.
- Complete daily and weekly security checks.
- Provide information and assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain a visible presence, promoting a sense of security and approachability.
- Assist in emergency response procedures, including fire evacuations, lockdowns and medical emergencies.
- Ensure adherence to all organisational security policies, procedures and regulations.
