The predicted salary is between 1500 - 2100 £ per month.
Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 7.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., inclusive of 1hr lunch break. Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public holidays.
Scope of Services:
- Manage two Science laboratories—ensure equipment, tools, and materials are fully stocked and functional (e.g., labeling, storing, and organizing according to safety guidelines).
- Conduct regular stock takes and maintain clean, tidy labs.
- Liaise with teachers to prepare, set up, and clear experiments and practical demos.
- Assist teachers during practical lessons (e.g., material management and safety).
- Germinate and transplant seeds for the school’s aquaponic hydroponics system.
- Monitor daily plants and systems in the Blooming Garden for optimal performance.
- Support plant care in soil-based planters.
- Assist in harvesting, packing, and distributing vegetables and fruits from the Blooming Garden.
- Support school-wide Science programs such as Science Week, STEM Day, Applied Learning Programmes (ALP), and learning journeys.
- Perform regular stock takes and keep the Maker Space clean and tidy.
Skill & Experience:
- Excellent team player—organised, meticulous, and skilled at multitasking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working experience in a school laboratory.
- Preferably proficient in MS Office.
- Interest in plant care and outdoor learning activities.
- Basic understanding of plant growth and maintenance requirements.
