Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 7.30am to 4pm, inclusive of half hour lunch break. Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
Scope of Services
- Assisting Teachers in Science Labs / Classroom
- Prepare apparatus and materials before Science lessons and activities for P3 to P6.
- Preparation of apparatus and materials for practical tests.
- Assisting teachers during Science lessons in labs and outdoor science activities (e.g., science gardening, urban farming), as needed.
Assist in Upkeep of Equipment & Learning Venues
- Assist Teacher IC with:
- Recording loaning/breakage of materials
- Annual stocktaking of lab materials
- Checking and upkeep of science learning venues (urbanponics/hydroponics, science gardens)
Maintenance of Science Lab
- Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of labs.
- Update displays in display cabinets regularly.
- Disinfect Science Labs as required.
Administrative Support for Labs & Environment Hub
- Perform any other administrative work related to the maintenance and upkeep of Science Labs and the Environment Hub.
General Office & Administrative Duties
- Provide administrative support at the General Office.
- Provide customer service at the reception counter – attend to visitors, parents, staff, pupils, and vendors, including:
- Answer phone calls within three rings, record messages, attend to walk-in enquiries.
- Make calls (e.g., contacting parents of sick pupils).
- Receive goods deliveries and direct to appropriate locations.
- Assist in logistics (packing, room prep for school functions, etc.).
- Shred documents as needed.
- Prepare/verify documents, maintain/update records, file, type, and perform data entry.
Qualification, Skill & Experience
- The Personnel shall minimally have:
- A minimum Diploma from a recognised institution. (Qualification in Science-related areas is beneficial)
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in handling common lab equipment (e.g., microscopes, dataloggers).
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in an MOE school or similar educational/scientific support role.
