Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor fire control room (FCR) systems in assigned hangars and buildings, including all fire detection and suppression systems as per SOPs.
  • Conduct regular fire safety patrols of Airline House and Hangar Complex, inspecting escape routes, firefighting equipment, and hazardous material storage.
  • Respond to fire alarm activations or emergencies and support the on-site incident commander in firefighting and evacuation efforts.
  • Serve as fire-watcher during hot work operations; ensure proper permits and safety checks are in place and maintained.
  • Report, record, and communicate all fire safety incidents, defects, and operational irregularities to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Attend, support, and facilitate fire evacuation drills, fire warden courses, and fire safety training as required.
  • Maintain accurate patrol records, incident logbooks, and assist in equipment readiness and maintenance follow-ups.
  • Uphold discipline, proper attire, and professional conduct in line with SIA/SIAEC protocols.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience as an operational firefighter with SCDF, AES, or Industrial Fire Brigade.
  • Physically fit and able to respond to fire incidents and emergencies effectively.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems in large buildings or aviation environments is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore Fire Safety Act, SCDF regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Attentive, reliable, and able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Able to operate inspection tools (e.g. gas detector), tablet computers for reporting, and communication devices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Additional certifications in fire safety, CERT, or related fields will be advantageous.
