The Fundraising Department at Greenpeace UK (GPUK) provides reliable levels of income to meet the organisation's campaigning ambitions and support long-term campaign planning. This funding gives the campaign teams the flexibility they need to deliver on our ambition, meaning that the majority of the money raised is unrestricted. The Department plays a key role in shaping Greenpeace UK's communications to supporters and the world outside.
The Head of Trusts and Foundations will provide strategic direction and senior leadership for Greenpeace UK's Trusts and Foundations programme, driving significant growth in income from charitable trusts and foundations. Responsibilities include:
- Leading strategy and cultivating senior funder relationships.
- Securing transformational six- and seven-figure grants to fund Greenpeace's campaigns and the Global Capital Campaign.
- Ensuring high-quality proposal development and impactful stewardship.
- Embedding trust fundraising across the organisation with the support of a strong operations team.
- Managing and developing the Trusts and Foundations team.
- Supporting colleagues across Greenpeace UK to engage effectively with funders.
- Representing the programme at the highest levels internally and externally.
Key Criteria for Success - After 12 months in post, the successful candidate will have:
- Established solid working relationships with the team and other internal stakeholders.
- Assessed the health of the trust and foundations programme, identified opportunities, and developed a strategic plan for this income stream.
- Taken direct management of their donor portfolio and started to see results.
- Developed clear KPIs for the team, including ambitious and sustainable pipeline growth and management.
- Worked closely with colleagues across the Key Relationships team to establish a collective and collaborative approach to success and accountability.
- Grasped and embodied Greenpeace UK's values and role modelled leadership behaviours.
- Led the team to deliver income.
