Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of buildings, machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Identify wear, damage, safety hazards, and non-compliance issues.
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports.
- Recommend corrective actions, repairs, or replacements.
- Verify that maintenance and repair work meets quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in bridge/building design/construction and/or structural inspection/maintenance works.
- A Civil Engineering degree recognised by the Professional Engineer (PE) Board, Singapore.
- Sufficient knowledge in British Standards and Advises Notes, SS Euro-code Standards and the National Annexes, other prevailing codes, regulations, and Standards that set out the requirements guidance on the Inspection of Highway Structure and/or Standards and Advice Note from other countries.
- Ability to recognise, evaluate and assess the condition of various structures, including structural defects/damages.
- Good knowledge of durability aspects, repair/rehabilitation methods for defective concrete and steel structures.
