About the Role
In this role, you will lead and deliver high-impact consultancy services in environmental compliance, sustainability, and circular economy practices across construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The role supports clients in achieving regulatory compliance, embedding circularity, and advancing environmental performance through strategic planning, technical expertise, and project delivery.
What Will You Do?
- Prepare and manage EPA licence applications, including Waste Facility and Waste Collection Permit applications
- Compile and submit Annual Environmental Reports (AERs) and Waste Data Returns
- Conduct Environmental Liability Risk Assessments (ELRAs) and develop Decommissioning Management Plans
- Design and implement Resource and Waste Management Plans (RWMPs), Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs)
- Develop and deliver zero-waste strategies aligned with ISO standards and client sustainability goals
- Embed circularity into the construction and operational phases of projects
- Conduct site audits and permit/licence compliance reviews
- Lead environmental due diligence for acquisitions and legacy waste sites
- Project manage multidisciplinary teams and site-based projects
- Coordinate feasibility studies, waste classification and characterisation, and planning compliance reporting
- Provide technical leadership on strategic housing, energy, and infrastructure developments
Please note: This role requires travel to client sites across Ireland. Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.
About You
- A relevant third-level degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in environmental consultancy, the waste industry, and/or local government
- Strong understanding of Irish and EU environmental legislation and policy
- Proven capability in data analysis, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance tracking
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
- High level of written and verbal English
- A valid driving licence
Desirable/Advantageous Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc, Diploma) in Environmental Management, Circular Economy, or Health & Safety
- Professional certifications or training in ISO systems, environmental auditing, or waste management
- Valid Safe Pass or equivalent health and safety training
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Waste Managers (CIWM) or a similar professional body
