Our client is one of the UKs most respected and award winning independent environmental consultancies with an amazing work culture. The team has a strong reputation for delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for complex projects across multiple sectors, particularly onshore renewable energy and energy infrastructure.
You will manage EIA projects from tender stage through to submission, working closely with project directors and coordinating multidisciplinary internal specialists (including ecology, ornithology, archaeology and landscape) alongside external consultants and high-profile clients. Projects span renewable energy, electricity transmission, urban regeneration, masterplanning and independent EIA/Environmental Statement reviews.
Based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol or Cardiff, with hybrid working (minimum two days per week in the office). Site and client travel will be required. My client will also consider applicants who are looking for part time employment too.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the EIA process and technical teams
- Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation
- Oversee quality, programme and budget delivery
- Contribute to tenders and client relationships
- Proven experience managing EIAs
- Degree in a relevant environmental discipline
- Strong organisational, communication and report-writing skills
- Understanding of EIA within the development planning process
- Experience on large or complex infrastructure projects
- Postgraduate EIA qualification
- Progress towards Chartered membership (ISEP/RTPI)
- Working knowledge of GIS and environmental topics such as landscape, biodiversity or water resources
