Our client is seeking a skilled and creative Urban Designer (Associate level) to join their collaborative Design Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who cares about shaping places that work for people, enjoys solving design challenges, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the built environment.
The Design Team is made up of passionate Urban Designers from a range of backgrounds and levels of experience, united by a commitment to creating beautiful, inclusive and sustainable places. The practice works across a wide variety of projects and sectors â from residential and mixedâuse developments to employmentâled schemes, regeneration areas, and renewable energy projects. Projects range from large strategic masterplans to locally focused schemes, collaborating with clients including developers, land promoters and landowners. Whatever the scale or stage of a project, the team applies creative thinking, technical rigour, and a peopleâfirst approach to placemaking.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about urban design, confident working with clients and teams, and motivated to deliver highâquality outcomes. They will bring:
- A relevant postgraduate design qualification, or a strong interest in Urban Design/Masterplanning with another qualification (Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Town Planning)
- UKâbased consultancy experience in Urban Design and Masterplanning, working on residential, mixedâuse, or employment projects for national housebuilders, land promoters or developers
- A good working knowledge of current urban design and placemaking considerations in the UK
- Strong creative design flair â from bigâpicture strategic thinking to detailed design considerations
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), or working towards chartership; OR Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design (or willingness to become one)
- Competence in Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, and SketchUp (Vectorworks and QGIS desirable)
- Confidence in hand drawing and sketching (desirable)
- Ability to lead projects and collaborate within a multiâdisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- A commitment to continuous professional development
