As a Deputy Operations Manager at FCC Environment, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the facility, overseeing operational activities and driving continuous improvement across the Operations Department. You will play a key role in coordinating plant modifications and outage works, and ensuring all staff are trained and competent to the required standards. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Supporting the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the facility
- Coordinating outage works, plant modifications and operational maintenance activities
- Working closely with maintenance teams to plan and deliver operational requirements
- Acting as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) when required, ensuring safe systems of work are followed
- Leading on health, safety, environmental and quality standards across operations
- Conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Supporting contractor management, inductions and training delivery
- Driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and compliance
- Supporting the Operations Manager and acting as the senior operational lead in their absence
- Mentoring and developing the operations team, ensuring competency and training requirements are met
What are we looking for?
- Extensive operational experience in the power generation sector (e.g. Energy from Waste, CCGT, Biomass or similar)
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Experience managing plant operations, outages and maintenance activities
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation
- Strong organisational, analytical and decision-making skills
- Flexible, proactive and results-driven approach to work
- Relevant technical qualifications or competency training (or working towards)
