Greenjets is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development and delivery of complex aerospace and unmanned systems. The roles require strong technical judgement, structured thinking and the ability to engage effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders in a rapidly evolving development environment. Systems Engineers at Greenjets are highly hands-on, combining strong practical skills with technical leadership. While rigorous requirements management and robust verification & validation (V&V) processes are essential, we also expect our engineers to take ownership of system design - bringing creativity, engineering judgement, and a holistic perspective to deliver effective solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the development and management of system requirements, architectures, and interfaces across electrical, avionics, and powertrain systems
- Capture, analyze, and manage requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
- Work with customers and stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support system integration and resolve technical issues
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, issue management, and project readiness activities
- Support verification and validation activities, including test planning, integration, and flight testing
- Contribute to safety and airworthiness activities, including hazard identification and system safety assessments
- Apply systems engineering processes and industry best practices to ensure successful product delivery
- Support supplier engagement, technical reviews, and customer-facing engineering activities as required
Desirable Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:
- Experience in a Systems Engineering role within aerospace, defence, automotive, motorsport, unmanned systems, or another high-technology industry
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, system integration, verification and validation, and lifecycle development
- Experience with aircraft electrical systems, avionics, battery and energy storage systems, electric propulsion systems, power electronics, flight control systems, mission systems, or integrated vehicle systems
- Knowledge of aerospace safety and development standards
- Familiarity with systems engineering and requirements management tools such as Jama, Polarion, Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving requirements and development environments
