About The Job

You will support manufacturing activities across tooling design, process development, assembly systems and production improvement initiatives. The role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle; from prototype builds through to production ramp-up, with opportunities to take ownership of projects and develop rapidly within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Assist in the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures and assembly aids
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process flows
  • Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency
  • Support production builds, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
  • Help develop production systems, layouts and manufacturing controls
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to support tooling and production readiness
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing and industrialisation initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Understanding of manufacturing and assembly principles
  • CAD experience (3DX strongly preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Interest in aerospace, advanced manufacturing or propulsion systems

Desirable

  • Placement, internship or industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
  • Exposure to tooling, assembly or production engineering environments
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
  • Experience creating technical documentation or process instructions
