About the Job
We are looking for a highly capable Supply Chain Lead to build and lead our Direct Procurement capability during a period of rapid growth and technical development. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role for someone who is comfortable operating with autonomy, navigating fast-changing engineering demands, and bringing clarity and structure to a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for developing our supply base, technical co-ordination with design, improved delivery performance and monitoring, ensuring the business receives parts on time, to quality; shaping the future of our supply chain and function.
What You'll Do
- Supplier Management & Development: Manage a portfolio of suppliers at tactical and strategic levels. Establish and maintain supplier frameworks, KPIs and long-term agreements. Build and rationalise a high-performing supply base, including dual sourcing and risk mitigation.
- Operational Delivery: Expedite and track deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of part status. Provide clear and proactive communication to internal stakeholders, technical procurement ownership and be part of the team on the ground enabling delivery. Ensure successful execution of all transactional procurement activities.
- Commercial & Strategic Contribution: Negotiate contracts that deliver best value in cost, quality and lead time. Identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities across the supply chain. Represent Procurement across the business, promoting strong commercial thinking and decision-making.
- Process & Continuous Improvement: Introduce lightweight processes and structure suited to a fast-moving environment. Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support the development of simple, scalable procurement tools and practices as the business evolves.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience & Attributes
- Proven procurement experience in a fast-paced engineering, motorsport, aerospace, technology or scale-up environment.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- High-level understanding of manufacturing processes and part lifecycles.
- Comfortable working independently with high levels of autonomy.
- Full UK driving licence.
