The Production Technician supports the full lifecycle of our propulsion systems. This includes managing inventory, preparing assembly kits, assembling engines, running tests, maintaining equipment, and supporting flight trials. The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail and confidence working in a workshop environment.
What You’ll Do
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of all parts and components
- Carry out regular stock checks and audits
- Keep storage areas organised and accessible
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials
- Kitting for Assembly
- Prepare complete parts kits for engine builds
- Verify that all parts meet quality and specification requirements
- Work with the assembly team to understand upcoming needs
- Identify and resolve any issues with kitting promptly
- Engine Assembly and Testing
- Assemble propulsion units in line with technical specifications
- Conduct performance and functional tests
- Diagnose and resolve issues during assembly or testing
- Engine Register and Documentation
- Maintain and update build records, test data and configuration logs
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete and traceable
- Test Rig Assembly and Setup
- Build and configure test rigs
- Calibrate and maintain rigs to ensure reliable testing
- Workshop Equipment Care
- Commission new workshop equipment
- Clean and maintain tools and machinery
- Identify and address equipment issues to minimise downtime
- Flight Test Support
- Provide technical support during flight tests
- Work with the flight test team to resolve technical issues
